NTWGA Warrior Programs

North Texas Warrior Golf Association provides eligible Veterans opportunities to participate in various rehabilitative activities with other warriors.  Eligible Veterans include those wounded or injured in post‐9/11 military operations, including those with Post‐Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

North Texas Golf Clinic

The heart of our program is the North Texas Warrior Golf Clinic – an adaptive golf clinic hosted at Bridlewood Golf Course. The eight-week clinic serves as a rehabilitative experience for our nation’s wounded heroes. Warrior participants who meet attendance requirements will receive a custom-fit set of golf clubs upon clinic completion. Clinic sessions are held on Sunday afternoons in the spring of each year.

For questions about other aspects of our program please contact the NTWGA Selection Committee via email at:  ntwgaselectioncommittee@gmail.com.

Playing Opportunities

Playing Opportunities

We coordinate playing opportunities for NTWGA-registered warrior golfers throughout the year. We host internal golfing events, coordinate invitations for golfing events from external organizations/tournaments, and develop partnerships with local courses for free/discounted green fees for NTWGA warrior golfers.

To participate in NTWGA-hosted playing opportunities, NTWGA warrior golfers must be fully registered with NTWGA and be on the NTWGA Play List. The NTWGA Play List Policy is available for download on the left side of this page.

Have you ever wondered, how can your Tournament give back to wounded veterans who are using the game of golf as a form of mental and physical rehabilitation?

More than 2.5 million Americans have served in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003; of these, countless havereturned home with some form of injury. North Texas Warrior Golf Association (NTWGA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, was formed in early 2011 in an effort to bring the game of golf to our nations post 9/11 wounded warriors.

Since 2011, the North Texas Warriors Golf Association has brought the game of golf to thousands of warriors as well as outfitted more than 800 with custom set clubs! The game of golf embodies strength, flexibility, endurance, balance and mental discipline. NTWGA programs, clinics, and golf experiences build lasting friendships beyond the hospital and past the golf course. By addressing the unique needs of injured warriors returning home from service, we assist these hero’s as they reintegrate back to active duty or civilian society.

The goal of NTWGA is to help break down the barriers of entry to the game of golf and to help our Warrior Golfers continue to play as often as possible with one another in their local community!

Would you consider donating or hosting as many wounded veterans in your Tournament as you can handle? Thank you very much for your consideration!

Please, contact: Joshua Schmidt, President of NTWGA or send us a message via the contact form on the right side of the page.
